Chairman

John Blundell was appointed a Director of Talisman and its trading subsidiaries, on 26 April 2024, becoming Chairman on 1 September 2024. John has a distinguished career in the insurance industry including, until July 2020, as Managing Director of the UK general insurance business of the Ecclesiastical Insurance Group. John is a non-executive director or Board advisor to various other companies.

David Monksfield, BSc, IMC
Director

David Monksfield became a director of Talisman at its inception in 1997 and is responsible for the day to day running of the company. He was Executive Chairman of Argenta Private Capital Limited until the end of June 2021.

He has worked in the Lloyd’s community since 1981 and has experience as both a Members’ and Managing Agent.

David underwrites at Lloyd’s though his own LLP

Paul Francis Sandilands, Barrister at Law, MA (Cantab)
Director

Paul Sandilands became a Director of Talisman at its inception in 1997.

Paul has been involved with the Lloyd’s Insurance Market for over 35 years and was, until June 2021 Chairman of Pulse Insurance Ltd.( Pulse),an award winning life assurance specialist, arranging life and other insurance protection products for high risk individuals and groups. 

Graham Hodgson
Company Secretary

Graham Hodgson was appointed Company Secretary of Talisman in December 1999.

Graham joined the Lloyd’s community in 1972. He initially worked for the Corporation of Lloyd’s and subsequently worked as a director and company secretary within the managing and members agency community.

Charles Prickett
Director

Charles and his immediate family have been involved with the Lloyd’s insurance market for more than 75 years. Charles retired in June 2024 following a career in stockbroking and investment management with Hoare Govett ( Hong Kong and London ), Stewart Ivory, Newton and, most recently, Navera, formally Veritas Investment Partners.
